With the exact same setup pretty much except for the brand of headers/different tune/and me having ported heads vs your stock. Im not making the power you are or the tq at lower rpm ie: 4000RPM

If we compare dyno runs you are like 20-30 hp more than me and about 50 tq @ 4k
    https://copy.com/LBjzKmnNYatxvA07

So basically are my heads ruined? There's no way that much power can be tuned and doubtful that the dyno's are that far apart with their readings.

Only way to know is to get new heads and redyno. Which would suck. You could take your heads off and take them to a machine shop and have them check em. But then your car will be down a while. Honestly man I would just put a new tune on it, pulley down if you can and drive it. It isn't gonna be as quick as you want but the other options suck too. And are stupid expensive and time consuming.

Car made 284whp on a 3.4 pulley, canned tune from me, factory 3" 04+ MAF, modest headers, 2.5" exhaust, and a dyno operator that lifted at 5500rpm before the cam would make peak horsepower...(didn't see anyone else catch that).

MAF upgrade, pulley down to 3.2", retune to bring AFR from the mid 10s back into the low 11s, and get the dyno guy to keep his foot down to 6000rpm, it'll make 300whp with ease.

Lets stop suggesting the heads should be pulled, just for a moment, can we?

Who gives a crap what peak numbers are if it doesn't have any grunt......... The old famous saying power under the curve umm yeah it doesn't seem to have any.

As the OP stated 20-30 less HP and 50 less TQ vs mine at 4k rpm.

Who cares about the 5500rpm lift when it doesn't have any grunt down low. Honestly me personally I could care less about your projected 300whp at 6k rpm when Im certain by 6k rpm in my setup he would be too far behind to even catch me... (just using my graphs as an example)

Bottom line is the under 4k rpm is terrible.

Why stop suggesting the heads be pulled the graphs from mine are better with stock heads? Signs point to those heads are butchered.

    IDENTICAL.

S1X cam, 105# springs, Ti retainers, Gen5, 3.4 pulley, TOG headers, STOCK HEADS.

I also posted my setup on 2.8 pulley above.

Im not attacking your tune at all will, those heads suck.

Trying to make up 20-30 hp and 50 tq in a tune on the SAME 3.4 pulley with just tuning good luck. Id be surprised.

Edit. I have a fp rewire 60# injectors and a bigger pump. NONE of which should matter vs the OP as long as hes not running out of fuel.

The 60#ers and the bigger pump is in simply to support the E85 setup on 2.8.

I had almost the exact same setup too before I put it back on e85. S1x, 3.3 instead of 3.4, headers, intake and your overkill tune. Before I tuned it for the cam it pulled wayyyyyyy harder than than his video he posted the other day. No numbers but it was def quicker. And we both have comp g's.
Something is up and I doubt at this point it's his tune.

Yah im pretty depressed right now about it all. Really don't want to have to get new heads and replace them. Im going to try and map our hp curves today/tonight if I have a chance for comparison.

THE HEAD PORTING WAS DONE BY AN EXPERIENCED PERSON AT A "ENGINE REBUILD SHOP"

I understand mistakes can be made and all but its not like its a home jobber. They are not polished and I have pictures of everything.

I saw the pics of the heads and they're not horrible. Can you post them here Geoff for reference?
And stay positive bud. You'll figure it out.

Here is a link of info I have regarding my setup including a dyno run, log, pictures and a comparison to vet's car which had the same setup as mine at the time of his dyno.

For future reference, I'd like to mention that Tyler saying a VB and shift kit make the trans shift at different rpm doesn't make sense beyond how fast it occurs after being commanded.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

yah I understand that. even changing my shift points isn't going to give the car more grunt. just change where it shifts in the power.
