So I got some Gm Supercharger Oil from a buddy of mine who no longer has a Supercharged Gm and I was just wondering what everything thinks about changing/adding oil on a supercharger...

Have you ever done an oil change for a supercharger. The manual says that only the dealer should be preforming this...but as we all know, we do more things on these vehicles than the dealer will ever do!

    Comments, suggestions, criticism....all welcomed.

    Thanks,

    Nathan

do the change! its really not hard to do. i went and picked up a self bleader to drain and fill the snout. just gotta get a small tube that will fit in. and i used royal purple syth 5w-30 i believe in place of the gm oil. but anywho! go for it. never a good idea to leave oil somewhere for to long!

Syphon it with a small diameter garden hose...it isn't harmful I swear

Don't do that though LOL I used a turkey baster and put it in a little container afterwards and squeezed the new stuff in

I used a turkey baster with a small hose on the end of it. Just keep pulling the oil out until you can't reach anymore. I used a flexible hose so I could curve it around and get it all. USE THE GM SUPERCHARGER OIL. Refill until it is at the very bottom of the threads. When I done this I bought two bottles. I used a little bit of the second one. I am not sure of the exact fill amount on a dry suprcharger, but you will probably not get it all out anyway.
You will love the way the old oil smells.
