I am afraid, I made a big rookie mistake. I didn't know I was not suppose to take this out and not to clean it....also!

I'm replacing my LIM gaskets and I have the top of the engine apart, down to the heads. All the parts I removed, I want to clean.

So. I took out the supercharger rotor and preceded to clean it. Once I finished cleaning it all up and looking good. I felt something fall off the rotor. I looked closely and this is what I seen.

On the corner there is a chip, as you can see, a piece of the coating came off. The rest of rotor looks fine. It is just this area. My concern is, if I put this back in the supercharger and run it like that would the rest of coating come off and go into the engine or wherever.

    What should I do?
Any extra advice and suggestions would be appreciated!

You suck at cleaning. I did wayyyy better.

Those pics were during.. Soon after the rest peeled off. What you have is normal enough and nothing to worry about. However cleaning the casing/rotors will result in less sealing. It's actually better to leave them dirty.

    Lmao....I guess I do!!!

Well, now I know that the next time I will leave the sh** dirty!

I read up about this and a lot of the readings talked about the rotor timing. Of course, I moved the rotors!
    What is the rotor timing?
How do I put the rotor back in? Is there a certain way I need to do it.

Rotor timing is only a thing if you pulled these gears off the rotors. I'm 100% sure you didn't do that.. it takes a lot of work to get them off.

Yes, you are 100% correct! I did not pull those gears off.
Is there a way to check the bearings and rotor pack seals on the rotor assembly for wear, leaks.....etc
I want to make sure I did not mess anything else up during cleaning!
Man I wish I knew better and did not touch this sh**

Yes.. you can try and look, never see them, end up putting it back together and having a beer. Or ..skip trying, reassemble and have beer.

    I like option 2 better.

    Yea.....BillBoost I agree!

When I was doing the cleaning process I got some purple power in the area of the rotor gear bearings and the needle bearings. Is it a good idea to grease these bearings back up because I am thinking I got to much degreaser in these areas.

I just don't want to screw anything else up!

Should grease needle bearings. You can clean rotor pack gear area with wd40 and then blow dry.

So, how do I exactly do that, with the needle bearings. Do I need to take them out?

Don't take bearings out, This is correct grease. Some just use normal grease.

Actually that's far from normal grease.

Rollingperformance.com is a great guy to deal with on parts. If you want to change out the bearings. I can do the write up in about a min. Been there..done that.
