Whats the easiest way to get the case needle bearings out. Getting the gen v ready for the powdercoaters
Gen 5 bearimg are open both sides. They go into a bore that is totally closed. Even if there was a cross drill the bearimg isn't closed.
You need an internal bearing puller and a slide hammer.
Ok cool cool. Now to look in my box n see if ive got a slide hammer pilot bearing removal tool
Are you sure is my question powdercoating ovens get over 400° if im not mistaken. Are we sure that it wont mess up the needle bearings. If this is so i will not mess with them
The grease and seal are not rated to 400.
I replace a set in a powder Coated blower, they needed done. The case was bead blasted but the grease wasn't right.
I dont know maybe i should replace em for good measures being that i got the blower from the jy
There probable fine tell you bake them to 350-390. If you don't bake them, clean them out and regrease them.
Well i got the needle bearings out. But i need to know if anyone knows who sells them or have a part number for them
