I have a smell like sweaty feet coming from the vents. Theres nothing wrong with my cabin air filter, and i can spin the blower moter from the outside with my fingers so nothing dead is lodged in there. Thats as far as my diagnostic went. Been hearing of a drain that gets clogged. Not sure where it is, if the car has one or what to do from hear. I want to aviod taking apart the dash and vent system.

if you look from under the car there should be a rubber tube sticking out low on the fire wall. thats the drain tube.

if that was clogged up it would have overflowed and you'd find a wet spot by now.

as crazy as this sounds. go to the super market buy a small bottle of pinesol, lestoil or any other pine scented cleaner mix in a spray bottle a 50/50 mix.

then put the fan on highest speed and spray the mixture at the fan, the fan will take the spray mist and coat the ducts, the disinfectant should kill the smell.

my ex used to work in the office at a a/c shop. thats how they fixed stinky air vents.

I bought this from NAPA 2 years ago and it works great. It also has a lube in it to cure squeaky blower motor bearings too. Just spray it onto the blower motor while it's on and then shut off the car and spray the vents.
