Figured I'd throw this up here. Had the time to have my friend weld them shut. Just threw it on the car the other day.

You need to video a longer pull than that, the Gen V really scream right before the 2nd - 3rd shift.
I'm surprised the case didn't warp at all.
What are your mods?
Sounds sweettt
mod are in my sig.
Yeah know I need a longer video. Didn't feel like going 80 on a 35 mph road .
My friend who did it is a good welder. Guess he knew what he was doing. Here's the pic.
Well i can't see sigs cuz tapatalk
Here you go Russ :-) "03 GS - BTTK Intercooler, 3.0 PRJ, 42 lb, SSAC, AEM wb, PT,SR rockers, Ported blower/lower, N* TB - 13.1 @ 102 /w 1.8 60' "
Also pretty welds. Need that guy to weld some stuff on my "custom" sc case for my camaro lol
I believe he said he had to bake the case for a few minutes to clean the underside of it. Then made a small aluminum plate for each one and then welded them on.
Stock pulley too
very nice
Your supose to heat up most metal before welding to help create less "stress" within the metal. Would also help keep the case from warping. I can tig but I wouldn't trust myself to do that yet. Your friend is pretty good, get him to weld up a few more. Sell them and make some $$$
Seeing the underside of the case means nothing, I'd be more interested to see the inside where the rotors meet the case
: )
It would be extremely hard to warp anything anyway, that overall size of the case is HUGE compared to the really small spots that he welded up. Maybe if he did it near the an edge and was a really long weld with many passes, would something go wrong.
But in the end, it's slightly louder and thats it.
