Is this a good gasket set for my Lower intake? Or should I go with OEM?

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002LW...=SS115&simLd=1

I also got these for another option. Valve Cover Grommets - Quantity 12 - http://www.gmpartscenter.net/oe-gm/25534749

    Valve Cover Gaskets - Quantity 2 - http://www.gmpartscenter.net/oe-gm/24503937

    Supercharger Plenum Gasket - Quantity 1 - http://www.gmpartscenter.net/oe-gm/24503911

    Throttle Body Gasket - Quantity 1 - http://www.gmpartscenter.net/oe-gm/24503648

    Fuel Injector O-Ring Kit - Quantity 1 - http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000C9...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

    Coolant Elbow - Quantity 1 Set - http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00A1A...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Lower Intake Manifold Gasket Set - http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0049Z...A2EXL7LTROORSB

All of the above comes out to $145.

Now should I get this http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002LW...=SS115&simLd=1 and the other parts that I need that don't come with this set I will just order from the above options. Is this Fel-Pro set any good or should I just stick with the above options? Also this set is will make the overall price lower, but my main concern is, if this set is any good.

Please let me know your thoughts on this!

damn, just go to rockauto or advance auto and buy that stuff.

i did my whole lim job for like 105 bucks. coolant and vac lines included. lims were 40 on rock auto.

get a felpro v/c gasket set, it comes with new grommets. that kits 50 and up depending were you buy it.

those elbows and O rings are sold at the local parts store. so add it to your cart at advance or where ever. the sc gasket, aka upper plenum gasket is 11 bucks local too. t stat gasket is like 3 bucks, the tb another 5. all local at advance. you add a discount code and get lots off.

do try different codes as one may get you more off vs another.

this way you dont get raped with shipping costs from all over the place. and if you use advance, you order, pay on line, pick up at the local store 30 minutes later.

oh, and you dont "have" to take the TB or t stat off. i didnt take mine off during the lim job. if the t stat works, leave it. why spend money on stuff we dont need?

the TB where it can be cleaned easier when its off, you can still clean it pretty good on the blower still. just take the maf out first.

I want to do a thorough job on this project because everything is old and rotted....Lol.

Can someone explain to me what all this is. Like the o rings and what they are for, etc....please

I see a thermostat seal and gasket, fuel injector o rings, rtv, lower intake manifold gaskets, 2 sets of side and I thought I only need 1 Set, a blue thing, 2 Orange rings...lol

thats a nice kit, looks like the lower injector o rings. coolant port o rings for the lim to blower, t stat, gasket, and o ring. maybe a elbow o ring also.

use the orange rubber side parts, toss the blue in the trash.

how much are they asking for that kit?

Its a felpro kit, i think you can get it on amazon around 60-70 IIRC. Not a bad deal for all included, but you might be able to piece it together a little cheaper. I also always find it odd how they only give you 6 injector orings when its not a bad idea to replace all 12.

theres no need to pull the injectors from rail, so why change em is my thoughts.

all i know is mine were orange, and i used the the new orange ones.

i got my lim gaskets off rock auto, 42 shipped with a code at check out.

elbows local, $8 bucks, the sc gasket local $11, wound up needing the o rings $8 bucks local. coolant local $12 bucks. thats like 80 bucks in a nut shell. add a oil change its $100 tops.

i had rtv and thread sealant already. if you dont have this already thats like $15 more. and my oil was not contaminated so i blew off the oil change.

Because they could come dislodged or the orings could tear. It may be unlikely but on old cars with super high miles, I'd rather not be stranded lol

I bought all my gaskets, seals, O-rings, etc.....for less then $110. Plus, some other things I need for another project.

I took Scotty advice and got $50 off my purchase at advance auto. I also got the lower intake monifold gasket and coolant elbows for $40 on Amazon.
    Scotty I saved some money!
