Thread: IC core damage question

I purchased the first version of the Phenolic IC core from a member here weeks ago (he had this sitting around for years/pieced together a full kit over the years but never installed) Got around to it today and this is what I find. Is the glue normal? I know minor bent fins is ok but the giant pen hole like stabbing?? Leak?? Not to mention the dowl pin mark on the material (I can get by with that) but the IC core I am worried about. What is everyone's thoughts?

Fill the core with water and see if it leaks
