if staying with stock heads i'd do an s1x.

the NIC isn't what you want at all.

Ok. Any reason you like S1X over XP? Seems like people don't usually have a reason and people just go one way or the other. They are so similar but it seems like more people say the XP makes more power.

    the s1x sounds cooler.

they both make relatively the same amount of power.

Good info. and because I'm manual i can shift at whatever RPM i want.. just have to have my tuner raise my rev limit but its already pretty high..

Intense said it makes power to 6600. Are stock lifters and pushrods fine to that RPM or do i need some ls7's or Oers?
Should I swap out the 105s for 130s?

LS7 is the stock replacement lifter anyway.

if you're gonna run well into the mid 6000 RPMs i'd upgrade the springs to something bigger.

It is? So ZZPs just full of it for the listing on their site? lol

I'll swap em out for 130s and run a JP single then probably. But stock lifters are fine to mid 6k?

    Leave the stock chain.

Get a new one with a new dampner.

Don't need that silly double/single crap.

Get 130's with Titanium retainers and stock length O/R pushrods from Intense.

Really? Stock chain is fine but I need pushrods... Interesting. JP single set is only like 20$ more than a stocker is the only reason I was gonna do that.

    Don't need, they're just a nice addition.

JPS is no better than stock.

"The OEM timing set chain has a breaking load of 16.9kN while the included Rolon chain has a breaking load of 40.4 kN, so the JP Performance Timing Chain Set is ideal for use with a mild to medium cam.

    ^So thats BS? lol

What am I gaining with Comp pushrods, just reliability Im guessing?

    Lighter.

    Oil Restricted.

Ask Trannyman about the chains, he's running 130's on a high lift cam with a stock chain/dampner, so does Reptile...

It's all about the idle speed...keep it above or around 850-900, and you should be gravy.

I say ditch the crap T5 and go T56...so much more fun.

Then, pick whatever cam you want, ditch the SC, and go turbo like all the cool kids are doing. LOL

I was just giving you crap. Keep the SC...almost no one has a 3800 SC Camaro. Just remember...it'll be slower than my LT1 until you go turbo. LOL

Yeah. In retrospect I wish I would have gone turbo. But I put so much work into the SC swap I wanna keep it a little while to show people. Plus I already sold my upper and lower IM so thats awkward lol. As long as I can go deep 12's maybe 11's with some fat rear tires I'll be satified till awhile. Then turbo or ls swap

Here's how I see it...you did something cool. Keep it that way. LSx and LTx are done to death. My not-so-stock LT1 is doing about 370whp...with a good driver it's low 12's...MAYBE faster, so keep that in mind.

Hmmm..... Maybe I'll have to cut this bish up to squeeze an IC in it. lol

Guessing Whp is in the low 300whp with e85 (S1X or XP) Headers/full exhaust 2.8 pulley etc.

Also... Searching and reading old cam threads, that PRJ cam still exist?

And I'm thinking mine should go easy 12s with that bc I had friends with GPs at a similar power level, that ran 12s. But this has a huge weight advantage and should have a huge traction advantage depending on what wheels/tires i put on.

EDIT: and they did that on street all season tires on stock rims. like 225 wide tires lol
