    I'm back! Lol. I can't catch a break.

    So here's the problem.
The last couple days I've had a rough idle. So today i decide to clean my throttle body and sensors...
I unplugged the battery and took the TB out. I took the 3 sensors off and cleaned them with maf spray. I cleaned and wiped the inside of the TB with TB cleaner.

I put everything back together and start it up. It is idling at about 1500. It threw a p0122 tps. I looked at all the wiring and it's fine.

The weird part is i went to leave for work and it wouldn't shift into second, until i got to over 30mph. Than to get into 3rd i had to go over about 50-55. I couldn't get into 4th because the speed limit was 40 and i didn't wanna get caught going possibly 70+ To get it into 4th.

    any ideas?

Did you hook the cables back up right to the tb? They aren't twisted or anything like that?

Nope. They are correct. I feel like the tps sensor is wrong. When I went to put it back together it was not lining up right. I had to put pressure on it to one side to get the holes lined up.

I just went and messed with the cables. When I give some slack to the cable closer to the throttle body it idles normal. But when I let go and it rests in its normal position the idle goes back up to 1500. I don't understand how that has anything to do with my trans not shifting right

TPS sends signal to the pcm to set the shift points to match throttle. In other words, they work together. Some people don't install the TPS correctly but are you sure you installed it correctly?

This, TPS very much can affect the trans.

Not at all. I know the throttle lines are correct but i don't think the sensor ir right. It was the first time i ever took a tps off.
I just found a video that explains it. I'll check when I get home. Thank you guys!

hate to say this but the only 3 things I can think of it being at this point is..

    1. You didn't install the TPS correctly (Like I said earlier a lot of people screw this up and some people think they did it correctly but didn't)
    2. TPS may be faulty
    3. MAF could be F'ed up

Well. I didn't install it correctly. The tab was on the other side of the little bar.
    Now I know. Thank you.
