I have the gen v sitting on the shelf but I need to mod the lim first but might leave that for the winter. My gen v has a smaller mps on it and I was wondering if I could take just the snout and swap it for now to run the smaller pulley.

    They are not.

The bodies of each supercharger are differnet.

Isn't the snout on the Gen 5 shorter too? Or is it the Gen 3 that's shorter? Either way one of the snouts is shorter than the other. Im sure it would bolt up though lol.

I put the gen v snout on top of the gen III and they look within 1/4" in length. I took a closer look and the bolt pattern is different.

Gen 5 supercharger will bolt and work with a gen 3 manifold.

The air inlet is bigger on the 5 but will still be good.

Yup, I was referring to the snout bolt pattern.

I referring to your original post were you have a gen 5. You don't have to mod the manifold.

What do you mean? I thought the gen III opening is a lot smaller. You can see that if you put the gen v gasket on top of the gen III lim.

Oh. But it would be more beneficial to match it though right?

Sure but how much more beneficial nobody knows.. I doubt it's anything really noticeable probably more of those mental mods.

Well that's good to know that I don't have as much work to do. I might as well port the blower before it goes on, not much work compared to the hen III porting.

From what I've read porting a Gen 5 is kinda pointless.

Get throttle body adapter and bolt it on. It will bolt up to the gen 3 manifold and it will run.

Yeah it came with the adapter. I know it will bolt up to the gen III, but I want to gasket match the lim that way all air goes in.
