    Hey all,

Still working on my Gen V setup and trying to save a few bucks where it makes sense to do so.

Rather than paying $25 plus shipping to ZZP for the modified bracket, I would like to modify the northstar (2001 DeVille) bracket myself. Looks like something that can be done with a dremel tool and some bending... thoughts? I know it's been discussed before, but I haven't been able to find exactly how it would be done.

Also, I could pick up an L67 bracket at the local yard and modify from there instead, if that would make more sense.

The bracket in the 3800 Performance Northstar kit looks like the N* tb bracket, with some unnecessary material cut off.

My current TB with bracket attached:

    Thanks

You cut all the material from the top and Onky leave where the 2 tb cables grab on.

Besides that you jist need to cut a small piece to shorten the lenght or just bend it a little that is all that is needed.

I cut mine with a angle grinder and was able to get the most of it to put the cables I also used zipties for the throttle and cruise control cables if you aren't intercooler you shouldn't run into any hood clearances like I did with the intercooler
