My 2006 GT has bout 90,000 miles on it and has developed a misfire , Code 0300. I have owned the car since new and this is the first real issue.I cannot see anything obvious but it seems like it is starving for fuel on acceleration so I'm going to check the fuel pressure tomorrow. Can anyone tell me where the fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator is located on a 2006?
If anyone has any suggestions that would be great.

05+ have internal fuel filters on the fuel pump.

You can check pressure on the fuel rail, they have a schrader valve.

With that code, it's more than likely ignition related. Like spark plugs, wires or maybe a coil pack died for the igntion control module under the coil packs has gone bad.

At 90,000 miles you are do for spark plugs and a set of new wires anyway. So if it was my car, I would replace them both and if the problem is still there it's likely coil or ICM.

It's done at the pump too, it's a returnless style fuel system.

Only has 1 line to and from the pump, unlike the older cars where they run 1 fuel delivery line and a return line.

Make sure you get ac delco plugs, they are the best for stock motors. Never buy platinum plugs.

I replaced the plug and wires with new Delco parts and cleaned the MAF sensor. The car seems to be running fine now. This car now has 92k on the clock so is it time to replace anything else? I was wondering about the O2 sensor?
