So I've noticed when i let the car sit for a while such as a long light, or waiting on something. While I'm in the car it is very slight but it seems like the idle kinda dies every 5-10 secs. But the engine sounds like it's running fine, no changes in the engine sound or exhaust, but just a vibration in the car. Kinda rocks it...you can only tell if your sitting in it or touching it. It's that slight. Car runs great otherwise, no issues. Just curious what this could be.

EDIT: Can a moderator move my post. I have the L67 and accidently posted here. I don't know if I can move or how to. Thanks!!!

You could have gone to ''go advance'' and scrolled down and selected ''delete post'' But not sure you can since i have posted now.

Any way I know what you mean Kinda happens on mine also. Although mine it seems to have a slight drop in idle...This was before the cam.

i have a misfire at idle like youre describing. ive changed literally everything and i cannot find what is causing it. i think these cars just do it once you get them so far into modding. sometimes i can track it to one cylinder and other times it is different everytime it does it.

i gave up on it because the car doesnt die and it doesnt affect normal driving.

Well I guess I won't worry about it too much. I'll just make sure it never gets worse.

I have noticed my car doing this as well. I have checked for misfires in all cylinders and I dont have any at all. I have changed out alot of stuff and checked all the vacuum lines, anything I can think off.
It is very slight most of the time, a tad more noticeable at others. Like the rest of the posts, it does not affect driveability at all, so I guess I will just deal with it.

I was thinking about this....I still have my stock MAF sensor. Does anybody else that is experiencing these problems still have their stock MAF sensor? I was thinking the majority of people on here probably have K&N filter. I have had mine for almost 5 years and my MAF is getting old(10 years now). I am wondering if the oil may be getting the MAF dirty and causing a less than smooth idle? I have cleaned my MAF with air intake cleaner before, but maybe it is loosing its sensitivity. I would change it, but for a stock replacement it is around 140 to 150. Just curious.

I mean, the idea is completely a shot in the dark. As far as the electronics go, most of the time they either work or dont. Like I said, if they were not so damn expensive I would buy a new one just to see what it does. I have a Mini AFC, but the idle does the same thing with it on or not. I have had Autolite 104's, NGK TR6's, and AC 41-932's and no difference with them. The one thing I have not changed is the MSD wires. The set I have is only a year old, but i have used their wires for awhile, going to get some PRJ's this spring for the mods I plan on doing, so I dont think that is it. I have considered a small vacuum leak somewhere, as my car has always been on the lean side, that is why I have the Mini AFC 2.0. It may not be a bad idea to change every vacuum line since the car is getting older....Or I could just be making a big deal out of nothing. Most people would probably not even notice it.

I think it has something to do with the stock ignition system on the cars. Especially since EVERYONE seems to be having this problem. I don't think it has anything to do with the MAF sensor. Enless it was dirty.

yeah, i dunno what is up with my car. it idles like COMPLETE crap when it is cold, but the second it is warm it idles pretty well. it's almost like the cold creates a vacuum leak because of the expansion/retraction of the parts due to the temperature..

Both my cars idle and start up great. Only one that does anything wierd is my black car, I think it idles a little high on a cold start up. But its got a New MAF, LIM gaskets, s/c gaskets, vac lines etc. Its always done it though since we first got it. Doesn't bother me or make the car undriveable.

Mines the same. Idles about a grand when first started cold, then as she warms up it drops to normal.
