Anyone know what this sensor is? And if/how I can resplice the wires back into it?
It appears to be undetachable from the thing it is attached to. As you can tell, I'm not too great with the part names and that is why I figured the picture would help me out. Any info is appreciated! Thank you

Looked at mine, its a 99 GTP also. Thats the range switch but that plug doesn't go to it. On mine its routed underneath that switch but I don't know what that goes to.

magna steer plug, if the other end leads to the round part of the rack and pinion.

it should plug in to a pig tail hanging down the side of the tranny near the pnp switch there. aka that black box with 2 sockets.

Looks like the wires yanked straight out of the terminals. So use a tiny tool to release the metal part of the connectors from the plastic part and see if you can repair whats there. Its either that or chop the plug off another car and splice it pigtail-style.

Speaking of Yanks, is that a threat? Youse guys must have had too much maple syrup. Maybe in FL they say it with a lisp.

no threats lol nice try at Brooklyn accent with the youse guys lol i love maple syrup too.

those wires are torn out, best bet to get anther plug from a junk yard and splice it on your wires. regal and other cars also have magna steer if your junk yard shopping.

or order up a new pig tail i got a place on e bay that will make any gm pig tail under the sun for like 10 bucks or so shipped.
