I have found a leak inadvertently while fixing a coolant leak in my intercooler lines. The leak is in between the intercooler and the intake manifold That being said, I have two questions for you guys.

    1) Is there a gasket that sits between the intercooler and the intake manifold? If so, which one is it?

    2) If my intercooler lines were dry for a while, is it likely that the intercooler pump went out?

    Thank you in advance everyone!

    1) Yes. RTV.

    2) It isn't good on any wet pump to run dry, so its a possiblity that you burnt it up.

Do they not have the RTV gasket up on ZZP? I'm not seeing it...

Is there somewhere else I should get the part?

RTV is silicone. You can use it to make the gasket. Its a cheaper and more effective gasket in my opinion.

So do you basically just put the RTV where the gasket would be and let it dry?

Never heard of RTV before - excuse my naivety.

RTV has been around since the 19th century. You put a thin layer on, rub it in evenly with your finger in the same places a gasket would go and then bolt the supercharger back on. You'll need to let it sit for 8-12 hours so it can cure.

Don't over do it or you'll have trouble next time you pull the blower off.

One last question, since the leak is along the outside of the intercooler/intake "seam", do you think I could just squirt some RTV along the edge, let it cure for 24 hours, and test it? Or should I just make a whole new gasket?

The way I see it, the easiest fix is always worth a try first. Take that for what you will.

I always say.. the easy fix ends up being the easy fix plus the fix you didn't wanna do. Or maybe that was Murphy's Law
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
