    Double check part numbers.

I know after 01 the tanks are plastic and they run a venturi style aswell.

97-first half of 00 was Venturi. Second half of 00-03 was non-Venturi, but if your buying a full drop in it won't matter.

Are you replacing the entire canister or just the pump?

    This.

Just know the reason why pumps run so much in the parts store is mainly because of the canister.. The actually internals you can replace for $50-60 for stock delco internals. So reuse your canister and just buy the internals. I wouldn't buy a JY pump for that reason.

Or just a stock ac delco will do just fine unless for having fuel issues. And yea stop being a cheap ass.. Lord knows you've had your fair share of issues with this car do you really want one with that JY pump. Plus for $50-70 might as well go new.

That should work for you unless you just want to go aftermarket. Personally I think you can't beat the reliability of oem.
