I have a 2003 GTP and a few months ago i put a new igniton switch in it and in the past few weeks i have notices that when i go to shut the car off the key wont come out of the ignition almost like the trans is bound up but if you play with it for a while it will come out has anyone ever ran into this before?

Yes it is the park lock solenoid. There is a thread some where about removing it.

Here is the link with instructions. I would just leave it out and not get a new one.

No just leave it out you will be able to take out your key in any gear, so just be sure your are in park when you are stoped.
