Hey guys N girls today I had to install a water pump in my 2007 Grand Prix the overall process took nearly 2 hours now keep in mind this was my first time doing a water pump on a W body so I took my time

below I will show several pictures throughout the process of installing the pump.

the pump choice was a Duralast lifetime warranty from autozone $34.99 - thanks Scottydoggs

I will also show you a video of the old pumps bearing growl.

    Photos :

    Getting old pump out

Cleaning old gunk and gasket off - it was the original gasket aluminum - came off in one piece

    Old pump

New pump with gasket on - placed a thin layer of black RTV on both sides of the gasket

    Again new pump

    Car jacked up

Cleaning up the bolts - and yes I cleaned all 8 bolts off there was some gunk on the smaller ones

All cleaned and ready to meet the new pump

After I reinstalled both pulleys torqued everything down and filled and purged the system lost about a gallon or so when I removed the old pump all is good with no leaks
