Question, is the o-ring supposed to be seated around the valve itself? or is it supposed to be pushed down in the opening? Looking at pictures online I can't tell which way is correct.
The old one still rattled a bit, but not as well or as much as the new one. I think the old one was worth replacing to be honest.
pretty sure it gets put on the bottom. spring then the valve, then the cap.

I went out and put the rubber o-ring actually on the valve itself and that made it fit pretty snug. Put it back together and I'd say the engine runs a little smoother, but still tons of oil coming out of the exhaust pipe. I'm going to take that valve out and see if that will relieve enough pressure to kinda help the crank pressure stay lower.
Also, getting a cam sensor circuit low code. Where is the sensor for the Cam?
follow the harness by the coils down the timing cover its on the side iirc. above the balancer.
Well, it's cold and I only got 3 hours of sleep last night trying to get my car to run so I'm about to go to bed. My concern right now is the burning oil... Why the heck is this thing pressurizing the darn crank case so much and causing the car to burn oil... When I took that PCV valve out and revved up the car, it didn't push out the dipstick so I think that may have helped a bit. For now I put it back in and am just not going to drive the dang car. Still kinda at a loss as to why replacing all the intake gaskets down to the heads didn't help a darn thing..
Scotty, you mentioned something about the blower possibly being blocked/clogged up to the PCV valve. Where could it be clogged? Where does that passage lead? Inside the PCV valve hole I saw a few little holes that I assume are some passageways that help to release pressure or something, and they had some gunky looking oil crap kinda in them but obviously I couldn't reach in very far. Do you think that could be the cause of my problems? When I took the car apart the supercharger gasket was pretty much destroyed around the one oil hole up by the snout kinda and then a bit charred around the opening into the intake. I wonder if the PCV valve passage got clogged a bit or something and ended up blowing that gasket. But I'm not sure how to properly check if that passage is actually the cause of my problems or not and I don't know how to clean it if that is the problem. Any advice? So the hole you're pointing out is the PCV valve hole, correct? How do I clean it? Just like spray brake cleaner in it? With the supercharger off obviously
yeah thats about the gist of it. maybe the gaskets in the wrong place covering a hole? its hard to say.
Can it be put in the wrong place? I didn't think the bolts would line up if it was in the wrong place. Also, it was doing the same thing before I replaced the gaskets as well
if the port in the blower is clogged up its the same as a clogged pcv valve.
you can also try doing a compression test. if they are all low the rings are bad.
blow by from the piston rings, or clogged pcv valve are the only two reasons the dip stick will blow out of the tube, that i know of.
My dad was saying it could kinda be one of the following.
High exhaust pressure
Bad rings
Blown head gasket to the crank case
Bad valve guides
Cracked head
It also sounds sorta like a helicopter when I press the gas. That makes me think blown piston, but I have never experienced this problem before except on my girlfriends Lincoln Town Car when it stripped the block and the plug came out of the engine.
can you post a vid? clogged cat kinda sounds like a vacuum cleaner with a full bag.
I'm away from home probably until tomorrow or Sunday, but it sounds like a helicopter when I press the gas. Thats about the best I can describe it. The cat is a few months old, the 2.5" ZZP downpipe with high flowing cat. And it lets quite a bit of exhaust flow through it
