Re: Coincidence?
Ok heres where I'm at. I hooked up the fuel pressure gauge and switch the key to on. The by the time I got out to the gauge it was at 40psi, dropping. Stopped at 28. Turned the key off and it went up to 35.
Now, I replaced the fuel filter about 2 years/30000 miles ago. Is this a definite fuel pump issue?

Re: Coincidence?
whats is the psi running? does it hold at 40 or more?

Re: Coincidence?
Glad you got back so quickly. I have to return this thing soon. Ill check now. Im assumung same procedure just start engine instead of key on. Here it goes

Re: Coincidence?
Shouldbi let it run until the idle surges and see what the gauge is doing then?

Re: Coincidence?
most defiantly. if the hose is long enough to watch it while driving do that too. lay it over the engine and up the cowl, shut the hood on it.

Re: Coincidence?
Okay so I must not have had the hose screwed onto the Schrader tight enough or something. After rehooking everything, I got 35-40 at key on and 40 with it running. Surged twice, psi pegged at 40 both times. Surged again, psi still at 40, then immediately stalls and gauge shoots up to 50, then back down to 40 again.

Re: Coincidence?
in the gauge you could of had air in the line if it wasnt use in a long time. but on the bright side you know your fuel pump is fine
