Hi guys i have a 2001 gtp and i have a 3.4 pulley, sd headers, p and p blower and lim. Fwi, intense tune, 104 plugs, 10.5 wires, false knock elimination kit, new knock sensors and more i am trying to find out why i have 5-7 degrees of kr at 10 psi of boost and ambient temp is 20-40 degrees i was thinking with colder temps i would have less kr but i went from 9 psi summer to 10 in the winter also i was scanning with my solus pro after i put the car together but went to torque pro for convenience so my data might be off i am looking for the top ten things to look for false knock thanks

False KR kit? Soundproofing on tranny? LoLol probably not false at all, you have a box tune that doesn't account for the temp change.

Pulley up and watch the KR disappear!

What gas is in it? With the colder temps your tune might not be good enough. Get a dyno/street tune.

Every car is different. A friend of mine has a 2000 bonnie with a high compression top swap and a fully ported gen3 blower (My old one, was a budget top swap) . His only supporting mods are gtp injectors, a tune, Plugs and a 180tstat. He has 0 KR and he is running a 3.6 pulley on 91. But then you also have the cars that have headers and can barely squeak by with a 3.8" pulley

So far you have ignored the advice given so far...
I have had my arms in a few 3800s... actually more then a few. Lets make this easy on you. There are two really simple ways to go about this.

    1. If possible put a 3.8" pulley back on it. It takes less then 5 mins if you have a proper quick change hub, 5mm allen key, and a 15mm wrench.

Then go for a test drive. If there is less or no kr guess what? Its real kr. Proceed to #2 for a even more concrete method.

    2. If you cant go bigger on pulley size then take the belt off. Again this is super simple if you have access to a 15mm wrench.

Then go for a test drive. It WILL feel like you chopped its balls off and it WILL be significantly slower then even a lowly gt. If it has no kr then you know your problem.

Do this before you bother with any more speculation or guessing or anything else. Otherwise you will get nowhere.
If you do both of these and then kr is still there then its false knock. My prediction? Its real kr and your on the fast track to gernading your engine....

(Secret #3) Pull the plugs out and see if your missing any chunks. They don't like kr any more then your pistons do.
