its a Vband....youll have no problems getting them to seal
Cool! I didn't want to install them and have someone say well you should have done your research!!
Check this thread out... http://www.grandprixforums.net/showthread.php?t=85100
Which ones did you receive? Mind posting up some pictures?
from the pic he posted he has one of the original WBS headers with the much nicer 2 into 1 merge design (PS/OBX) vs the very ****ty 4 into one monstrosity of the tog/slp/ssac/sd versions.
Yeah transam didn't post up which version he got tho
Grr this is seriously the only thread I have found so far with someone who actually bought some w-body store headers we want pics of the headers.
yeah so you have the early "true" wbs headers
any pics inside the rear merge?
I don't know much about air flow but isn't that little lip on the header that bolts to the head in the pipe a restriction or some air flow problems.

Yeah that's what seems like it would have bad flow lol

i can only guess that line that looks like its burnt is the weld heat penetrating the pipe, but why is it only on one side of the pipe? and the rest are spotty. whos welding his stuff up?
that lip is sealed off by the out side weld, but for that kind of money i can see why snowflake is blowing a gasket. speed daddys look like cleaner welding and pipe fitment.
im not busting your balls one bit, but id be quite disappointed if i bought these. id would send them back, make them refund everything and pay the back shipping. then buy some speed daddys and fix the DP goose neck (if you want) with the extra money your saving.
the rear looks good, seems all the damn egr's are like that...thats just some work with a carbide to clean up 6...and if ya delete it entirely you can cutoff the ear/tube and it makes installing a bolt/nut on that port... a dream
yech on the front...look at cyl 3 at the merge rofl. too bad they arent better copies of the PS front....
i will say the zzp are quite nice in that regard though the design means it dificult to cleanup welds/flow unless you do it before the secondarys are welded on....if zzp actually does this id be surprised
probably means people should pony up more coin...id be curious if they do that little bit of extra love'n to em during assembly
nice angles and flow on that ****... though the slip joint is a cop out, its not a headache and sizing is spot on. yer gonna pay fer that **** lol
sorta ****ty they went with the tog dp design but i can see their reasoning for keeping it, it is a fairly standardized layout since back in the day
im a member of FTV racing as much as the next guy but i see the whole argument but everyone has different compromises and desire to skew to different ratio's of good, cheap, and fast.
two threads on nearly the same topic lol

Out of curiousity i pulled my front header out of the my garage and took a few picture. You can barely catch a finger between any of my primaries and the flange. I would call up WBS and find out whats going on...
