Re: false kr where is it comeing from
i too get blips of low rpm kr. it usually happens when im partly accelerating from a stop and sometimes with tc is locked up and putting a load at low rpms
anywhere from .01-5.5* kr no WOT kr
i do have a loose trans dip stick i plan on fixing soon, and replacing cross over clamps with band clamps. also my egr valve is not bolted down, it wobbles around. But cant get to the bolt to take it off the rear header without removing the headers and crossover.
its too cold to mess with it right now. also plan on getting the false kr kit from intense

With this new information, it sounds like your KR is from actual knock (part throttle knock) and you should not disable your Knock sensors as it could quickly lead to a blown engine.
At this point you really need someone else to check the tune/car over who is experienced and not in it to make money.
Even the best of the best can sometimes make mistakes, and even someone who's been doing this forever can ignore/dismiss things for various reasons.
thx for the advice ill see if i can meet up with dsmuts or someone here on the forums to see whats going on
Re: false kr where is it comeing from
Had something happen today that I've never had happen before the kr dissapered the problem vanished for about an hour, I took the gtp on a long ride about 75miles and at the end of the ride I rewarded myself for good gas milage and did a couple wot runs, I found there was no kr and really stated testing to see of this was true and it was, later the car cooled off and I took it out again the kr came back what do you guys think does that narrow it down

Re: false kr where is it comeing from
sounds like worn trans parts making noise, or weather variations.
Re: false kr where is it comeing from
i have found this to be consistent i just got down to west Virginia from Indiana and ive noticed the kr dissapears about 30min into a drive.
Re: false kr where is it comeing from
could also be faulty sensors
Re: false kr where is it comeing from
sea level changes?
temp changes?
better gas from station A to station B?
I don't know...
I do know that the local QuikTrip watered down crap 91 would show 2-3* @ WOT, vs. the ethanol free, seperate tank, 92 down the street at the BP...would show nothing more than half a degree on the same day.
Re: false kr where is it comeing from
ive found that the kr also does not show when it is really cold out and the engine and trans is still cold. does this lean more towards worn tranny parts
Re: false kr where is it comeing from
Knock sensors arent active when it's cold.
Depending on if the car is tuned or not can determine the temp at which they turn on. Stock car is 160ยบ.
Re: false kr where is it comeing from
K thx does anyone know if its possible to simply tune it where the or sensors are off till 3k I'm going to a meet this weekend and will prolly get another tune
