i have been through 3 throttle position sensors in 2 weeks, tonight i popped another tps code.someone plz tell me why this happening...im bout ready to sell this pos...by the way its an 02 GTP with 97000 miles on it.

Well its basically a variable resistor. So either there is a short that is killing the thing or there is something wrong in the wiring or even the PCM. I believe it uses a 5vdc reference voltage, so I would check and see if that is good and steady. You can also check the resistance in the TPS with a multi-meter and see if there are any dead spots in it. If there isnt I would suspect the wiring or reference voltage.
This may help out:

Yep, it's 5V. Should read near 0V I think when the throttle plate is closed and right up to 5V at WOT.
i appreciate both of yalls input, ive never messed with anything electrical...as soon as i have my friend look at it and i give him the info that i have been given from you two ill update the situation...one thing i did do tonight was undo the negative battery terminal for about and hour after synth said it could be pcm related, dont ask why just figured it wouldnt hurt anything.well i took it out on the road for about an hr afterwards and let it relearn shift points and all...it seems to be running better than before the check engine light popped on.any input on that?
also synth did u edit that diagram , this one looks different than original post
I didnt edit it, but it seems something weird was going on with it, hopefully I got it corrected.
Yeah, I think it was something weird with my All Data account, not really sure but it seems to be fine now.
Well it may not be screwed up, it may have just gotten confused, some of the logic processing could have locked up, etc. etc. and when you disconnect battery power you are effectively resetting it or rebooting it if you will. Just keep an eye on it for now and see what happens over time. If it continues it may be worth getting a spare stock PCM and swapping it out and see what that does. They can be found relatively cheaply and if its a hardware issue with the PCM that is probably the only way to fix it.
Thanks again synth,it threw TPS code again today on the way to breakfast.....reset pcm and now its fine. Now im starting to wonder if maybe the pcm has been causing all my problems with transmission and some other minor performance issues. Some days the car runs like a champ, other days it runs like crap.Im gonna try and get a pcm from junkyard and see what happens.
I would make sure that the PCM is from the same model year as yours just to avoid any issues that could arise from programming differences.
Yeah, I know, but keep it between you and I 'cause it could damage my reputation.
