240 at the crank, probably 210 to the wheels if youre lucky. if you can drive really good youll get into the 14s stock, otherwise youre just as slow as the ricers in the 15s.

    start with this list:

CAI/FWI/HAI (you choose, not debating with people anymore)
    180* thermostat
    colder spark plugs (AL104s)
    3" downpipe
    maybe a plog
    3.4" or 3.5" pulley

this will put your car in a whole new world compared to how it is now. if youre not satisfied with that, then there are a lot more things you can buy later.

Check out ZZP for a modular pulley system($100 with choice of pulley size). A press on pulley can be had for about $40 but if you want to change it you'll need a pulley puller. If you install a modular pulley system when you want to change pulley's it's as easy as removing six allen screws. If you're like most of us you'll want to change pullies as you get bitten by the modbug. You can rent a pulley puller/installer from ZZP, which you'll need to install either the modular or the press on pulley.

    FYI All gtps are autos.

a pully is about the last thing youre going to want to do until you get some more breathing mods on it. otherwise youre asking to vaporize a piston.

160 is too cold. a 180 is just fine for the thermostat.

pcm's are a must once you start getting more and more modded.

the exhaust system past the downpipe is good for 350 whp. leave it on and keep it quiet.

Quiet? Bah, that's no fun. If you're looking for hp/$, though, the cat-back should be the absolute last place you look.

I'm a big believer in headers, so my first mods would be an intake, then headers/pulley/tune. If someone wants a bit more power than that on a daily driver then rockers are great, after which I'd get a ported blower and throttle body. That setup is good for EASY mid 13's, more like low 13's if you can launch better than I can. If you want any help on specific parts feel free to send me a private message.

with thermo, downpipe, intake, pcm, and colder plugs youll get your car running nearly knock free on a stock pulley. if you drop it down to a 3.4 you should be able to run in the 13s somewhere. if youre a good driver, closer to mid-13s.

the thing about these cars is launching them. its crazy hard. you need to get a good enough launch to squeak the tires, but nothing more. spinning is your enemy here. that is why all the fast guys run slicks.

I understand that, What I am asking is are you putting it in drive and holding the foot brake reving to 2500 rpm then flooring it and coming off the brake

you cant floor it right away. youll blow the tires away and get a horrible launch. you need to learn to feather it.

    stock pulley is 3.8".

its kind of a sidenote that you make about 1 psi more of boost per every .1" pulley size drop, but it really depends on your flow characteristics of the motor a lot. if you have huge ported heads, youd make a lot less boost on the same pulley size. it also goes the other way around, youll get more boost on a restrictive system but its not usually a good thing.

i would drop to a 3.5 to be safe, but buy a 3.4 at the same time to just test it out. who knows, you might get lucky and have a freak. youre going to need to scan if you are knocking, so be prepared to either buy a scanner/tuner or find someone locally who wants to help you out.

Ok so this was strange, When i first got car and floored it the stock boost gauge only moved up 3 to 4 bars, I took to Wal mart for oil change and air filter change, the air filter was gray lol, ( I just got car ). So I get in the car and when I get on the gas the stock boost gauge went all the way up. What should the stock boost gauge be at. Also my check engine light came on after that, misfire 4 damnit
