Over Christmas break, I am going to stage 2 my 98 GTP. I had a 2003 SE before this one so I know a little bit about grand prix's but not a whole lot about superchargers. I was wondering if anyone that has done this could let me know how hard it would be to do. Here is a link of the parts and i am getting with the PCM upgrade( i know how to install that) and the intake system.

3800SC]3800SC Stage 2 Performance Package: 3800 Performance Stage 2 Performance Package: 3800 Performance

my main question was how hard it would be to get the pully on and off with out the pully puller.

it doesnt come with any kind of exhuast. i wouldent run a smaller pulley with out opening up the exhuast. ex headers or downpipe and p-log.

if i was you i would just buy the parts sepretly. you can make your own intake or buy tdc's for WAY less.

pacesetters are 360$ will get rid of alot of KR.
    pulley 40$??
    colder sparkplugs 10$ AL104's
intake 75-150$ depending on if you make it or what not.
dont really need the therestate. but if you do there like 10$ at autozone.
programmed pcm 100$ i would go with intense.

that set up there will be WAY faster then what your getting and with less KR so you dont blow your motor up.

i dont think you need a belt till you go smaller than a 3.4 unless yours is worn out.

    its slow.

    HUGE waste of money.

buy everything seperate, and dont buy the overpriced crap like intakes. here is what you want to make your car "stage 2" or whatever the hell that means:

    180* thermostat
FWI/CAI/HAI (you make a choice, everyone will debate this until the end of time)
    colder plugs (AL104s probably)
3" downpipe (that includes the u-bend delete, not just a shorty)
    PLOG (zzp front power log)
    3.4 (modular pulley system)
some PCM upgrade (i am biased towards the DHP 1.0, helps a lot)

this is what youre looking for.

thanks guys... i have one more question tho...
where can i find a coolant recovery bottle and an intake F-Duct? I heard that you need those if you plan on modding a 97 or 98 GTP and lucky for me i have a 98.

Also, I don't think you can even get a thrasher system anymore for the pulleys. I'd just do ZZP and be done with it....they work, they're cheap, and they're everywhere.

youre going to have to put down a decent chunk (<200) for a downpipe, but it's well worth it.

otherwise you can jump the gun and go straight to headers. they are going for about $350 shipped nowadays on ebay and i suppose they are decent quality too.
