Left front in . And unplugged rears connector. Mpgs went up and kr. Went to about .9-1 but it blimps so guessing false. Now I'm hearing like a putting sound (putt putt putt putt etc. Guessing its from the sd headers. Everything else is welded up and o2 port is closed with a bolt. I bought header wrap to quiet the ticking /putting.

Left the front in and unplugged rear completely. With no cat I fined 4-5mpg and running .8-1.1 kr at wot. Its not instant and it blimps so I'm guessing its false. I'm hearing a ticking noise which I'm guessing is coming from the crappy sd headers flex. I got header wrap. Do u think it will take care of the sound ? Or rather make it quieter. Other then that my car is quiet as hell even with headers and not cat or resonator.

You wont be able to run o2 sensors without fixing the leaks 100%. I dont typically run o2 sensors anymore becaus3 im lazy but I keep an eye on how my car is running.

its common for all parts of the headers to leak... The flex joints are the most common, with the slip joints on the xover pipes a close second. Most people weld as much as they can, and use tons of RTV and upgraded clamps elsewhere.

I personally probably wouldnt try that hard if you dont mind the leak sound and leave the o2 sensor out.... But I am really lazy and my GTP has taken over as full time rally car.

As was previously asked when was your fuel filter last changed? An old fuel filter makes these cars run like crap.

Does the ticking go away after the car warms up after a few minutes? If so, check ALL the bolts/nuts for the headers. I had a nasty tick that drove me insane for a while and found out the nut under the EGR tube was finger tight. Tightened it up and it was good to go.
