Hello everyone I'm Anthony. New to the forum and this is my first post.

I'm a proud owner of 2002 Grand Prix GTP, and I love it.

Last week I installed a new Air filter for my car (k&n). Only thing that is not stalk on the car besides lights and other customization I have done.

I have been looking into a smaller super charger belt and pulley to increase how much my boost is putting out. Now here is where I have the questions..

1). Is there anything else recommended to have with a new pulley and belt for performance?

2). Am I putting my car in any danger by doing this?

3). How much horse will I gain with a 3.25" belt and a 3.4" pulley.

So please and thank you everyone much appreciated.

Woah. I haven't played with a Grand Prix in ages, but go read some of the stickies and info about supporting mods. You'll need to do a few things to run a 3.4, quite a few to run a 3.25" (I had a cam when I ran mine).
    '13 Stang - V6 MT82 - GHIG
    '00 Grand Prix SE - Pink (L67 Swapped/XP Cam/3.25")
'98 Grand Prix GTP - Black ($500 toy with broken trans. )
'01 Bonneville SE - Sitting on a hillside needing attention

Yeah, you'll want to read some more on what mods will be needed for pulley drops.

The car will eat a few pistons if you drop the pulley size and increase the boost without giving the motor more exhaust flow.

4). Also really just wondering what else I would need to install before I do that to insure everything runs properly.

So please and thank you everyone much appreciated.

you will blow it up if you went to those pullies right away. most will suggest headers. but most are crappy unless you spend a good amount of money. id look into a downpipe and a plog. and just get a shelf tune. you would be able to run a 3.6 safely maybe a 3.5
dhp tune, sd lip, shiny stuffs, retros, gen 2 spoiler, gpo's, pregens

Take a read thorugh this thread and it will answer most if not all of your questions on upgrades---> http://www.grandprixforums.net/safel...0-a-67580.html

Don't over-oil the K&N as it will coat the MAF sensor and cause issues, and may even kill it. Most people either run the stock paper cleaner or a non-oiled cone filter.

I have to disagree. Sd headers are cheap and get the job done pretty decently.
