I remember years ago a popular mods on these cars was to get an exhaust cutout. I even had one for awhile w/ a couple minor bolt ons. Anyone still run them?

I was thinking of putting a glasspack where the cat was and installing a cutout somewhere behind that so basically all I would have is Headers, about 6ft of 3" pipe w/ and glasspack and an open cutout (free flowing). With the cutout closed i'd keep the rest of my exhaust to the stock mufflers. Thoughts? No i'm not interested in dropping exhaust for track runs. Not worth my time IMO. As for sound, I know it won't sound great, but a 3800 w/ any exhaust work sounds bad anyway (i love the motor otherwise, just not the sound). I don't want to switch out mufflers and be stuck w/ a bad sounding/droning car.

    Pics welcome too. Thanks...

I thought about it for a bit but, my car is already loud enough with my headers and exhaust. The neighbors have already been woken up before when I get home...hehe

imo stay away from the elctricone, they leak more/easier... after all is it really that hard to slide under the car when youre putting the track tires on and undo 3 bolts?

I used to have a regular old cutout then later I added a McCord power plate. It sucked! Leaked like a MOFO plus there customer support was ****ty. After arguing with them several times, they finally refurbed my unit... after I got it back I sold it.

Whats got me interested in cutouts once again are these osCommerce from Race Ready Performance. I've heard some good things about these. I need to do more research though. I'm really hoping there alot more realible than the QTP and the McCord. I really don't want a manual cutout again.

I just bought a used cutout and it just came in today, so when I get some spare time, I will install it.
Yeah its a grand prix, so what, wanna fight about it.
