I have a P0172 code and the car runs really rich.

The following has been tested and I believe is not the problem.

    MAF sensor - replaced
    FPR - replaced
    Plugs/wires - replaced
    Throttle body - cleaned
    Tstat - replaced
    Injector o-rings - replaced

Other tests that have come back clean:

    O2 sensors operating properly
    Checked back-pressure for clogged cat
    Fuel Pressure okay

Injectors seem to be injecting more fuel than what seems normal. Is this just due to the fact that it is supercharged? Or could that be the problem. The reliable mechanic that did the test for me said he is not 100% sure if this is just because of the supercharger so I thought I would ask you guys. He said it was slightly more than normal and seemed a bit inconsistent.

Any other possibilities would be greatly appreciated!!!

    Other symptoms:

Worse when it is hot. Upon hot restart the rpms surge really bad.
Seems like when you are coasting (like down a long hill) the rpms surge especially when you hit bumps and once in a while the car will die all together.

Check your ECT (engine coolant temperature sensor), and make sure that it is giving accurate information to the ECM/PCM. If this is malfunctioning, it will make the engine run richer than normal, or leaner than normal depending on the malfunction of the sensor.

The scanner showed a good reading from the ECT as far as I could tell. It slowly warmed up as the car warmed up, and eventually leveled out between 88-90 degrees. Is this number normal? Anything else I should check? Any other advice would be great! Thanks!!

I'd like to see the live data on the scanner for what the injectors are doing, like how fast they are working. And for other parameters aswell.

Being supercharged wouldnt have anything to do with it, the car is still going to act like any other 3800 while just under normal throttle.

Have you tried just for giggles unplugging the MAF and seeing if it ran better when it acts up?

I think at some point during all of this I have, but I'm willing to try anything again to figure this out. I'll let you know how it goes.
