Good morning everyone. Well, today is the big day. I'm doing a VS camshaft install with 90 # valve springs, new retainers, seals, etc. and SD Headers, as well as LIM, SC, Front cover, TB, and VC Gaskets. I followed this guide in terms of what to expect:
    Cam installation L67 - TECH - 3800Pro.com Forum

I have mostly everything he speaks of in this guide, except the valve seal installer. Is that worth purchasing, or is there a way to do it without the tool?

Also, does anyone have any pointers or final tips before tackling this whole job? Thanks!

I use a 1/4" 10mm socket and small rubber mallet with some common sense about how hard to hit them to install. FelPro puts an install tool aka piece of plastic that covers the groove for the keepers and then you just lube them up and slide them on.. a quick tap or two and they are done.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
