I need a little help/advice with what to do here. I traded for a short stack intercooler and I have been acquiring engines and other parts as well. I have a GEN V blower and I want to put it on my 99 GTP. From what I am seeing here I need to machine the bottom of the blower to open it up so it can take advantage of the entire intercooler and I need to open up the lower intake manifold as well to match the opening of the IC. I do not know if this is a GEN III or V intercooler nor do I know how to tell. I am not planning on any further upgrades other than the IC, Blower and pulley. I have a down pipe already and I will probably add a air intake to match the SLP hood I just got. I would just like to confirm that I need to open these up for them to work properly and efficiently.

I shaded the areas in red that it appears I need to remove. Can someone please verify for me? Thanks

I realize that I will need a throttle body adapter as well as so way to run my evap system, I am open to suggestions about that as well. Also since I am learning I have a question about the pulley to run. Since I am not doing any other exhaust mods other than a down pipe and resonator delete what would be the recommended pulley size 3.4 withe the GEN V?

You actually answered your question about which gen the IC is when you laid the Gen V gasket on it and the IC is smaller than the gasket. The IC is gen 3, plan to gasket it appropriately and or open that end up a bit more. I'd just make sure the gasket seals at the right places.

On the LIM, open that up further like the pics on ZZP's site. That way you don't leave the boost bypass hole with no support. It's better to remove it than give it the chance to go into the motor if it breaks off.

If you stick with an L67 throttle body, you can run the Gen V evap soleniod. Just open your wire loom and bring the wiring back to the soleniod and rework the evap hose from the fuel tank to be the right length.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

I am a quick study on this stuff but I like to confirm my findings. Thank you. Now I am going to figure out the PCV system stuff and I will be golden. The rest seems relatively easy. I wonder what seals the two halves of the intercooler core together, RTV? if so maybe this would account for people having experienced warpage. I plan to lay mine on the belt sander before it goes back on the car and if I disassemble the two halves I will apply the RTV and promptly assemble everthing to try and avoid that.
