Hard to tell if it is the lifter issue it had or actual oer lifters being noisy?

One other question is it possible to use my gen v with the IC it has on there now? I would really like to add my gen v on here if possible.

Lifters aren't too noisy if they are ok. There shouldn't be much noise

If you want to tell if it's a Swan Racing Stroker Kit, pull the oil pan and look for notches in the cylinder wall. The longer stroke crank/rods required that the cylinders be notched for the rod to not contact the block.

Is that with every stroker kit? I know swan made one but as far as I know there was another one available. Is there a possible way of telling if I just take off the heads?

Yes. You will lose PCV but you already have a breather so its fine.

I didn't know there was another kit out there. You might be able to tell if there are forged pistons if you take off the heads, but there normally aren't markings on the dish.

i cant seem to find the swan web site any more, but a ways back i did see their blocks and the bottom of the cylinders need to be notched for clearance so the rods dont hit.

Another way to inspect the block for the notches would be to get an inspection camera like from Harbor frieght. Remove the oil level sensor from the oil pan and insert the lens through there to check out the lower end of the engine. As far as i have seen, the stroker kit's need the notches for clerance.

Even though the IC is for a gen 3? Thought I had to buy a IC specifically for a gen 5 or change something due to the movement in outlet?

Don't quote me 100% on that but I remember reading of another kit when I was doing my research back then on it. Besides Swan racing.

Seems like I just might end up takin out the engine after all, it seems like it is the best choice to do. Since I know oil pan with engine inside car won't be easy.

Mines a gen 3 IC. Most people run gen 3 ICs with genVs. You lose maaaaybe 1hp compared to a genv ic as it has less of an opening. The other thing you lose is PCV function. Which you can solve by running a valve cover breather for PCV function. Which you already have.

the 1.6 roller rockers are SIGNIFICANTLY less than stock, a stock rocker will make 1.8 ratio on a "big cam".

Also, stock lifters would solve other problems as well, as they have a much wider preload window than an OER does. OER lifters technically require adjustible preload rockers, which you do not have.

So basically, put stock parts in place of your omg race car parts and pickup power and reliability. I wouldnt worry about the motor at this point, stroker or not its going to still be just a motor at the end of the day.

Really, I thought the opening was a bit more larger, I have a gen v here so I will check it out, if it isn't too bad I will most likely be installing it.
