    Pull the gear off.
    98 GTP modded 1.9's, sd headers, 3.4", zzp 1.0 230K miles scrapped.

    The gear dont pull off its on a blown motor i assumed this was pressed on tighter then the original or if it was jammed on because of a piston smashig a valve bendin a pushrod

    The timing gear doesn't come off? Should have a bolt on it right?

    Yeah i removed the bolt? Should this come off like the factory timing set?

    Honestly i don't know I've only messed with stock sets I just assumed they were the same

    You have to pry the crank sprocket off, it does not just slide off like the single rollers. Screw driver behind it on both sides and work it off or a pry bar. As you easy it off the cam sprocket will come along with it if you do them together.

    I was able to remove the cam sprocket with a pulley puller.then removing the crank from the block to get the timing set apart. I still need to remove the crank sprocket. Im gonna try that tommorow with a cou

    * couple screw drivers to pry it off i cant fit the pulley puller on it.

    There's not much pressure on it. When I installed mine I just used a piece of wood and a hammer with slights taps and the crank sprocket went right on. I can only assume to remove it, it won't take much.

    it looks like someone done put tinfoil in your motor!!!!

    1997 GTP . repainted in jet black with blue pearl. rebuilt motor
    with vs cam ported heads and blower.
