Same problem with my 02 GTP. After 6 mos of looking I finally found that under a load the engine tilts towards the back and shorts the plug wire out on the O2 sensor. Cut about 1/2" of the spark plug wire boot and problem fixed.

same codes, same problem. I would trim the spark plug boot first, won't cost you anything and only about 5 minutes of your time. Mine was about 1/2" away from o2 sensor. The pipe from the manifold does not flex as much as the engine under load there for pushing plug wire next to O2 sensor. Electricity takes path of least resistance.

Well I pulled the number six plug and broke it LOL but it looked like it already had a small crack in it and I put new wires on it and now she is running great. But the plug wire is still too close to the O2 sensor for comfort so I am gonna get some 2000 degree tape and either put it on the wire or O2 sensor not sure if it will hurt either what's y'alls ideas? The wires boot that go over the plug seems a little close but the wire is what worries me.

if you still have the plug wire clips, they hold 3 plug wires together, use them to adjust the length of your wires.

for the o2 wires to mess up the plug wire, they really need to be touching. if theres is a space, its fine.

Its not the O2 wires its the O2 sensor itself. I have all the wire holders but to get it off the O2 sensor I have to pull it really tight and that's not good for the plug wire. That's why I want to insulate the wire or the sensor. Just wondering which one it will hurt the least to insulate (the spark plug wire or the O2 sensor). I would rather insulate the O2 sensor but I am not sure if will hurt it to get hotter and stay hot longer (being insulated)

put some wire loom over the o2 wires, or the plug wire, either one will do what your after.

Just trim a little from the open end of the spark plug boot. It will not hurt a thing and you won't have to worry about wire looms and what not. By the way, you're welcome. LOL
