    This may be a dumb question but I figured I'd ask just to be on the safe side. Just recently I swapped over to a Gen V setup on my 2000, and was wondering if the PCV was setup correctly by me. I did plenty of reading and by what I've found it says to put a hose on the nipple on the back of the Gen V by the EVAP sensor, and run that hose to the air intake, between the throttle butterfly and MAF sensor.

    "2) Second modification you must make is the PCV system extension. If you look at the Gen V, and locate the EVAP sensor, look to the right, and you'll see a small nipple. This is part of your PCV system, this MUST be utilized, or you WILL have a vacuum leak!! Below are your choices:

    • You can run a tube from this nipple, to the air intake, this inlet must be located behind the MAF sensor, but before yourthrottle butterfly. In the LS1/Northstar setups, this is easily done by threading a tube into the air intake between theMAF sensor and the throttle body. On the L67 throttle body, it’s a little more involved. There is a brass plug on the bottom of the l67 tb, drill out the plug then tap it."

    I'm not for sure on the line because I haven't ran a GenV myself so

    but is that JB Weld on the TB? or something else?

    Yes it is, to block the EVAP ports on it. But that's only temporary, I'll be filling it much more professionally than that tonight lol

    I used that same custom coupler from MAF to N* also..

    Correct on the PCV, however the hole you could have gone into vs the intake tubing is shown in this pic. That is routed right before the TB butterfly. Sticking up on the left.


    Rotated down to work better and hooked up to PCV nipple on charger

    It looks like the holes that you closed up on the bottom are the coolant heat tubes, not evap. If you would like to run evap though...use your stock evap and drill/tap that plate you used for a blockoff. Then hook to the nipple you put in it.

    Very clean looking indeed, Ill have some tucking to do myself, but isn't that a N* TB? I'm on an LS1 TB, so unfortunately I don't have that tube that comes up on the left

    LOL sorry to throw you off like that I wouldn't say you were wrong, I won't pick on you too much

    However, I do like how clean the N* looks with the PCV on there. Can't even tell.

    Sorry to thread jack, but my question pertains to this thread. From what I understand both pcv and EVAP are after the maf, but the PCV is pre throttle butterfly and evap is post with a nipple drilled and tapped into the adapter plate? Is that correct?

    If you reread this thread, you'll see that I suggest putting a fitting into the block off plate on the evap hole of the Gen V. Or if using a stock TB, you can use the stock Gen V evap.

    So my N* TB does not have the nipple for the PCV, so can I tap my EVAP hole and plug it into that?
