OK so i found out that my original supercharger was no good and the case was torn up... so i bought a new supercharger not thinking about the vacuum lines. i just got the supercharger in the mail today and there a problem.

    original supercharger...

    new supercharger

now there is no hole for that tube thing... my question is can i change the vacuum system in my car to the newer vacuum line setup or do i have to drill into the case for that thing to work?

Use newer setup, it's quicker, easier and you can still buy it at the dealer if you choose to go that route
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

You can cape off the vac lines going into the case on the 97 and just T off for your FPR

the vac tree on top of the new sc looks to be on backwards. the fat tube should face the rear it goes to the brake booster.

heres a 98 vac diagram. not much to it, 5 bucks in T's and new vac lines from the parts store.
