they are all the same for the most part.

the best price, performance, and quality would easily be if you'd make your own.

Yes, and it looks great. If i didnt already have a fwi, id would have bought one of his last night lol. If you want just the 4in piping its $75 I think. Check with TDC on full setup prices.

Ordering one today once he gets back to me. I just want the 4 inch piping and cover. I think the "TDCracing" intake is going to put an end to most of these overpriced intakes.

Another thing about this though, is everyone hasn't used ALL these intakes. If someone happens to claim one is better than the other on the whole list, they are going off of reviews from other people. This isn't just for intakes, and yes, usually all intakes are close to the same, but this goes for many parts that different companies make.

    It's all assumptions after reviews!

no. why do people insist on wasting money on an intake? actually, send me the money you would be spending on a "good" intake and ill make you a better one and keep the remainder of your money.

Some people would rather pay for a "name" than paying for performance...makes no sense.

why dont you post some pics of your intake and we can decide if "home made" is the way to go. most self made cold air intakes end up as HOT ari intakes, unless FWI which the majority of the time are done wrong.

Home made is the best way to go, it's your not a complete and utter moron that can't measure or cut things without loosing a finger.

the only problem i find with FWI is that they get dirty pretty fast. idk about you older gen guys but my 04 has big openings in plastic peice down at the bottom of the fender that allows alot of road dirt into that area. also there is a gap in front of the wheel where the tire can throw grime right into the fenderwall. i noticed when i had my fenderwall intake i got a little pep with light throttle due to problem that gap and the tire throwing air strait into the filter. imagine when it rains tho :/

i would take pics to better explain but the battires are dead for the camera and i cant find none that will keep it on

i agree. home made is the best. i have a wizair but i think the box does a GREAT job of keeping hot air out of the intake and you dont have to worry about road dirt near as much. but im taking mine a step farther and making my own tubing. extending the MAF into the box (just for my sake, i figure in that engine heat it gets pretty hot and starts to skew my readings some) and complety seal the box up to the frame and the hole that the tubing goes into the filter with.

yes i problew could have made this box, but it works damn well and i had the extra money at the time. why not. if i had to do it again i would problew make my own but no way am i complaining about my wizair.

I don't see why everyone is bashing the Wizaird. When I was thinking about getting one everyone said the Wizaird was the best around. I got it and can't complain. It looks nice, install went fine and it does what it says it will do.

i personally use an FWI. don't get me wrong, cold air is for sure better for performance. at this point in my modding i just straight up dont care about the coldest ambient air. ill suck 120* air and still do just as good, if not better. it really is completely about flow with these engines, but some people like to fight it with theory.

im going to put my MAF in a 4" tube and the cone on right after it. it might be a great place to spray my meth too.
