    Sup, got a question here.

So I'm buying stuff for a cam swap on my comp-g and was wondering exactly what springs and retainers to buy.

I was thinking #105 Springs and modded retainers from zzp, but are the modded retainers needed or can normal ls styled spring retainers work? I'm a bit puzzled there.

Note that this build is going to be used on stock heads.

While I am there, anyone got a full list of what's needed for a cam install? I've got one made up on an excel sheet but to double check. I'm also gonna change the head gaskets.

You will need the modded retainers for extra clearance since the XP has quite a bit of lift. I would also recommend getting Viton valve seals.

As far as parts, you will need:
    Timing Chain
    Timing Chain Tensioner
    Cam Bolt
    Front cover gasket
    LIM gaskets
    S/C gasket
    Valve cover gaskets
    New rocker arm bolts
    RTV
6 new injector o-rings are recommended
I always recommend enough oil and filters for at least 2 oil changes
    Antifreeze
Crank bolt is recommended to be replaced, but I have reused a lot of them

That's off the top of my head. I feel like I'm missing something.

Add in a TB gasket, you may as well clean it while you are there.
Brake cleaner (for gasket surfaces once they are gasket free)
    TB cleaner
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

105's will work just fine as long as you're not going to rev it past 6300-6500. They are right, modded retainers are necessary due to doing install height being different and clearance issues

So I suppose this looks good ?

I had already planned for 3 oil changes ; Already planned to clean the TB and already got the gasket for it. Shifts are probably gonna be set at 6200 rpm.
(Oh and injector o-rings, got a box full of em here.)

Not so bad, full cam install, just a wee bit above one paycheck. Total price will probably go down as the parts comes in as I buy on rebate / source them cheaper(As in price, not quality) if possible.

Everything looks good. But, you do know that you don't need to remove the heads, right?

    Yes I know.

Just got a bhg. Or highly possible. Coolant bubbles in overflow tank after shutdown.
