Hey guys, I come to you yet again yo pick your brains.
Recently did LIM and waterpump gaskets and at that time added a few mods, ported LIM, ported gen 3, N*TB lq4 maf , ECU tune and a couple other ins and outs.
3rd crank on the new ECU and it started right up, but right off the bat 3K rpm and slowly increased like I was pushing the gas pedal.
Tried it a few more times with the same outcome, took the coupler off the TB to take a look and see if it was opening, but it was not, stayed closed yet was still gaining RPM. Checked the vacuum routing and as far as I am aware everything is okay.

Could the N* cause my throttle cable to be too tight? What else could cause this?

And one more thing, accidentally stripped one of the bolts for the fuel rail, and cannot replace, will I be okay to run just 3 bolts on the rail?

    Thank you in advance

Stock rail... you should be able. But toss us a pic or give us more info on if it stripped in the manifold. Cause..i'm thinking helicoil since it's hardly in the manifold and doesn't penetrate the intake.

On the 3000 rpm. Unhook the throttle and cruise cables, still happen? If no.. fix bracket/cables. If yes..proceed
Get a can of carb cleaner or tb cleaner. Spray SC where it mates to the LIM at the snout end. I've seen Garlock gasket cut incorrectly and cause a huge leak. Another is a Gen V lim with a gen 3 blower. That seems like a huge vacuum leak though
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

I will do that, as for the gasket, I did have to cut it, but I used RTV to account for the gap.

I was never able to run the stock rail with three bolts.

I can't recall how much throttle I gave it, but it did pop off and started spewing over the engine and ground.

The studs in the LIM do come out, so I'm not sure what you mean by you cannot replace the bolts. If you're using bolts, do you mean you stripped the hole in the LIM?

I found the easiest solution to LIM sealing was either a stock gasket that was cut, or just RTV.

If you don't have an intercooler, I'd put a stock gasket on, untrimmed.

Meaning the bolt is stripped? The threads in the LIM are stripped? The head on the bolt is rounded?

I accidentally put the wrong bolt in there for the fuel rail, couldnt take it out so I bent it and it broke off right at the top of the lim

I will try that, I just don't want to have to take the SC off again and put a new gasket, that would suck

$12 gasket is much cheaper than a motor.

DO you think its because the way I cut it by the snout? Wouldn't the RTV suffice?

I think if you use some TB cleaner and test it... you'll know for sure. Then you can fix it properly. Cause boosting with some RTV smeared on the outside isn't what I'd call a good long term seal. Going lean after the RTV blows etc ... well ... it's your engine. I'll keep my opinion to myself.

PS.. it'll be easier to fix that bolt when the SC is off.

There's doing it, then there's doing it right.

What should I do for the gasket? The garlock one isn't big enough to cover the port job

You can get a roll of gasket material and make your own or use Great Stuff RTV w/o a gasket like a lot of guys.

Sarcasm was 3-4 posts back. Nothing in the last couple.

Parts store carries material. Hit up the goop aisle, usually its' in there. Choose the paper/rubber mix.

Paper rubber gasket, RTV around ports and slap it on?

Yup.. that's how I'd do it.

If you don't have a gasket that will fit, make your own. This is pretty easy by using the round side of a ball peen hammer and tapping out the gasket on the SC or LIM.

Then I'd use either great stuff or permatex 26B (red) to go around the openings, put down the gasket, put more 26b on top and drop the charger in place. Same way I'd do an intercooler. Never had one leak.
