P&P heads doesn't exactly fit with "easy" or "cheap" haha

    Try an intake
    Aftermarket PCM
    Downpipe & 3.6 pulley
You will end up using more gas tho as the right foot gets heavier

Anything after that is getting a little further out of the "easy" column for someone at the newb stage

Most of us have different definitions of "cheap" and "easy". You might want to post a budget you have in mind and if you have any mechanical experience so we have a idea what you could install yourself etc.

I am very mechanically enclined can do alot myself or with the help of dad who is a mechanic and the neighbor. and as cheap as possible, but still a good product. How about just a k/n filter would that help, i have had many k/n filters, and cold air intakes before just not sure if they do anything.

If you don't drive the car for the winter, P&P your own heads is a great mod. Pretty cheap, and still reliable.

Intakes are a waste of time.

They're worth it on GTP's. You get more supercharger whine, and with forced air induction, you may see a bit more HP. They're nearly a waste of time on N/A engines.

Ya i had an 03 gtp with a cold air system on it, and it sounded awesome, and seemed like it had a quite a bit more power. I do drive it in the winter, but not much i try to keep it out of the salt as much as possible. I have to take it in on monday i have been havin a prob with #3 missing alot! Not sure what it is have had many diff ideas thrown my way, but hopefully its not what some are thinkin a hole in the piston, or ne thing internal hopefully!! So after that i will have to see what i can do. Might be puttin in diff engine if piston is bad or lifter,1,400 just to take heads off for labor only!! Can get a engine new refurbished for 2,000.

Or they could charge you .5 to stick an inspection camera in the spark plug holes.

K&N is not worth it. Make your own intake or Cai for cheap and should achieve the same results.

Nitrous is exactly what you're looking for. It's not like you're spraying 24/7...

Nitrous is very safe if its done properly. All those that blew up their motors (back in the 60s and 70s) paved the way. You spray Nitrous and fuel together. I had a progressive kit on my supercharged Saleen Mustang. Now that was fun!!! You get great gas mileage all the time.

Then when you want to race and have a little fun, flip a switch.

I had nitrous on my daily driver that I put 40k miles on a year. The car now has 163k miles on it, runs 11's, and is still on the original engine and transmission.

To be serious, aren't the only mods that increase power AND fuel economy, flow mods? HAI, headers, down pipe, port/polish intake, etc.

Of course there are things like new plugs, cleaning the maf, etc. that help as well but aren't mods.
