Re: Loads of KR with headers, rockers & stock pulley - 11 PSI too...
I never ended up pounding out the firewall for the O2 sensor, it looked like it had enough room but I am going to remove it & do it anyway just in case
I took a long drive up to the cottage on the weekend and notice rock solid KR of 3 degrees cruising at 80mph
Things to check?
Bash in firewall by O2
Make sure headers are not hitting sway bar
Anything else?

Did not delete rear O2, its plugged in as per normal.
Re: Loads of KR with headers, rockers & stock pulley - 11 PSI too...
found the rear knock sensor wire either cut or worn to ****. hardly any of it sticking out of wiring harness and pretty much nothing coming from the sensor side of the plug. Can i run a new splice and how does the connector on the sensor side come apart?
also looked at o2 sensor. A good two inches of clearance and even with me beating on the exhaust i couldnt get the sensor close to the tunnel.
also noticed ltfts at wot were positive 0.7
dont know what to check next...
Re: Loads of KR with headers, rockers & stock pulley - 11 PSI too...
forgot to mention that i did see a trans line (i think) that was right up snug to one of the rear primaries. i couldnt move it away at all. it was touching but in between was heat wrap insulation like on the firewall. could that cause false kr?
headers are clearing swaybar too.j
Re: Loads of KR with headers, rockers & stock pulley - 11 PSI too...
try unplugging AND unbolting the o2 sensor and taking it for a quick drive (make sure the engine is up to temp before you do this.)
Re: Loads of KR with headers, rockers & stock pulley - 11 PSI too...
I am assuming you mean the front O2? What might unplugging & unbolting the O2 do? An aside, the O2 had about 8,500 miles on it, it also reads 950mV when WOT

It'll tell you if your cat is clogged

I was thinking of trying to remove the entire exhaust from the front O2 & back to check the cat but that will be a PITA for sure. Will removing the O2 allow for enough flow to rule out a clogged cat?
Re: Loads of KR with headers, rockers & stock pulley - 11 PSI too...
Will try removing the o2 tonight, car seems to run fine at high RPM's. Plus I still get knock with the S/C belt pulled.

Flipped sway bar today, no difference - weekend will be removing o2
