I have Yella Terras on mine. I like them. I don't mind paying for quality. I'm still not interested in a cam at this time.

Most read Scott's response as a joke or someone goofing off. However Scott and Zoomer had quite a thread about this on CGP. It appears that the square tip on the stock rocker may actually be closer to 1.8 ratio at the end of the tip. The one thing I haven't seen though is someone measuring to confirm that.

I run Yella Terras on both of my cars. They work well as long as you properly measure pushrod length.

YTs should come with the correct pushrod length already.

?? do you mean modified stock rockers are actually closer to 1.8 ratio?

Bingo, that is what Scott has suggested in that post. Thing is...no one ever seems to have measured.

I see, that must be why modified 1.9's are more likely to work with stock springs?

What happens when you change cams, lifters, head gaskets, or machine the deck on the block or heads?

Pushrods are the last thing done after a motor is assembled and are measured to your specific setup.

You will make more power with a stock style rocker than rollers.

/\ Cannot believe that. they are heavier by about 40 grams a piece and from what Intense always said the 1.9's were really only 1.8's.

Well of course, but if nothing else is changed then I don't have yo measure for the length when they come with them.

Do you have evidence to support this claim? You and dark seem to be against everything but never provide any reasons why or ever give any valid proof of why either. Just like in the thread where you both stated that stock manifolds are better than headers. I'm not saying that I doubt what you say but its really hard to believe you when you give no proof other than because I said so..... all I'm saying is I want to know why.

I'm not gonna bash GTP or Dark, I've learned that although they have experience with this platform, like all else you find on the Internet, their word isn't and shouldn't be taken as Gospel! There have been times they offer good info, or at least stimulate though towards addressing a certain issue. Mostly, it's diatribe without substance, but if you read what they say and research, there's some good info. to be found. Doesn't matter who's right or wrong...

Bottom line is it all depends what you want out of your engine!!!

I've installed my YT's 1.9's and I'm completely happy with them. I did not and do not still after installing them want a cam. The slight increase of breathing has definitely given a better feel on the top end with the YT's. And for my $, I'd rather have rollers over stocks any day of the week. If you're looking for the same performance out of rockers as a cam you will be disappointed as they are completely different.

A decent read on high ratio rockers...

    Higher Ratio Rocker Arms

    Good Luck!
Overkill BBC Cam, YT 1.8 RR's, Rhodes Lifters, STGII Heads, GenV, Pacesetters, 3" Exh to Tips, TEP Trans. N*, ID 75# injectors/E85 coming soon
