ive always argued against that. i ran pure meth through my gen3 with zero effect on the rotor coating. it wasnt me spreading that, that's for sure.

Even though I agree 100% meth is logically going to be better for most setups, doesn a lot of it have to do with your IATs as well? I cant remember where I read it but iirc people with higher IATs were seeing better results with a 80/20 mix than of pure methanol. This may have been proven to be wrong but just never saw it mentioned directly. Also, if you do use 100% and keep it under your hood, wouldn you want to water it down a little as in evaps at ~150*F and water is 212*F? It may not be a big deal in the colder months but Im sure peoples under hood temps get that high quite a bit...

(sorry op this has just been a good read and I seek some knowledge brotha)

Well I got a chance to work on this setup again. I have changed my mind on using the Res that came with the kit and am going to use my stock reservoir.

I hooked up my progressive controller vacuum hose and am trying to find a good power source for the pump/controller.
I took a look at my fuse box and noticed that the fuel pump runs of 15 Amps and though that might be a good power source for the FP runs when the car is running.
How would I be able to tap into that power source (if possible)?
Should I find the power wire right below the fuse box that runs to the FP?

If I should stay away from tapping into their, let me know. All of the feedback is helping me out a lot

Thanks for all of the help so far. Hopefully take this for a spin tomorrow.

My kits have always come with a fuse holder. On one end just put an eyelet of some kind to fit over the power stud on the side of the fuse panel box (under the hood). Then run your power to the switch, and ground it close by to the frame. The pump isn't on at ignition, it sits dormant until the switch hits your designated boost and turns it on. You won't hit boost unless the car is on, which is why that location works well for a power source. No splicing, easy to connect, and, the fuse is in plain sight. Good luck... I ran my cables through the bumper reinforcement, since it's hollow, as well as the meth. supply (on my 2004).

The small amount of water-methanol fluid isn’t harmful to any rotor seals or surfaces or coatings, and it helps to seal the clearances and condense the air some more, resulting in a more efficient output. Additionally, it keeps the rotors and housing MUCH cooler, which reduces heat transfer to the rest of the intake and air charge.

So what will meth do to my 5.3 sense it isn't boosted? Would it be worthless? I myself never have messed with meth before.

typically not worth the money to put it on anything that isn't boosted.

I see s future mod. Water/meth through my unnecessary throttle body spacer. Now it has a purpose Lol.

i'd take the spacer off and drill/tap the blower case instead.

Yeah I agree. I honestly don't know the physics involved but if you aren't pushing 800hp N/A it'd probably be a waste?

think of methanol as an intercooler.

there is no reason for an intercooler on anything n/a because the intake charge is never heated up due to nothing compressing it.

I got everything hooked up nice. I started with the biggest nozzle. Caused the car to bog a lot and pulled out a code. P0300(random misfire).

Cleared it with my badass aeroforce. Swapped to nozzle 1. And runs like a CHAMP.

going to see how the car runs on nozzle 2. And on a 3.4. After work today.

    Currently on a 3.5 now.

I'll post up pics soon because everyone loves pictures!

    Absolutely.

Through the spacer is the best place to jet on our cars.
