After getting my car finished and tuned, I have been driving it around and it is deffinitley slower then my NA 97...I thought WTH is up with that lol. It is not building full boost (3.4 pulley) according to the boost gauge on the DIC (only 3 or 4 bars at the most). And honestly i'm not worried about that until i get a costume street tune...But with the xp cam and it only making it a little boost, shouldn't it be way faster then my NA gp?? Even with just the cam and the blower not running it should still be faster...right? I don't get it. I'm really hoping that it is just the tune and the fact that it's not making full boost. Any Ideas?? Oh, and how to I bypass the BBV solenoid? I'm a little confused on that. Thanks..

There was a guy from saginaw too... ugg anyway uh, you said it had a stock cam?

On 3psi, it should struggle to run very well at all really, and I said many times that you shouldnt be "racing" it due to the clusterfk of parts on that thing.

I'm interested to see the video from 87 octane on a top swap with a 3.4 pulley.

There will be marvelously expensive sounds coming from it.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

No it has an xp cam, and i wasn't racing it lol i just goosed it enough to see it wasn't building full boost. Trust me I can't blow this motor up so i'm taking it easy with it...

And Bill i filled it up with 93 and ran a half tank through it to make sure there was no 87 in it, before i even got into boost with it...

Regarding the xp cam you didnt mention what springs you have, if you had the guides milled, retainers, or timing chain.

stock timing chain replacement and dampener with 105s and modified retainers...all the supporting mods for a cam and a topswap....

the main thing im worried about is that at light throttle, when it shifts you can feel it bog down and when you come up to speed you can feel the boost kick back in....Ex. when it shifts into OD at 48MPH, you can feel it bog down until you reach like 55MPH, then you can feel it kick back in without giving it more throttle..IDK it's weird

It sounds like you have a solid vac leak.

    Honestly.

How's the BBV hooked up? Venting to atmo?

The vac lines are hooked up according to the L67 Diagram...Which the bbv solenoid is also hooked up. I hear you have to bypass the BBVS on the topswaps. Is that true? And if so how do I do it??

If you have the soleniod hooked up. What did you hook the electrical up to?

you dont hook it up electrically and you vent the lower line to the atmosphere.

the electrical connector is not hooked up But i thought you had to bypass the vacuum part also? I have it from the BBV to the solenoid then from there to a T on the FPR back to the T on the LIM then to the MAP sensor....

the top line should be hooked on the bbv, the bottom nipple on the bbv should not be hooked to any vac line

Ok so from the top of the supercharger to the BBV....Then it should go MAP sensor to The T on the LIM then end at the FPR...which will bypass the solenoid all together..Right?
