I have no clue what this is, it has one wire coming off of it which is cut for some reason

What is this? It's on the side of the block towards the firewall.

That looks like it's your rear knock sensor. A real pain In the butt to try and disconnect it with the motor and tranny so close . But it is doable

So that is a knock sensor?

Not trying to replace it. I was under it today and noticed the wire coming off of it was cut/ torn. Might explain why I never get any knock readings LOL.

Yes that would defiantly be giving false reading . Mine tore also so I just soldered the wired back together and it works like a champ

well sh!t now I gotta figure where the other end of the wire is. I just hate finding things wrong LOL, can't turn a blind eye to an important piece.

Thanks for letting me know what it was.

Hey not a problem and the other piece connectes over by your oil filter neck . It is basically and extension piece right there where you can disconnect it there also

Well...I found the other end of the wire!!! I had about one inch of wire to deal with, got a butt connector on there and spliced in about a 3" wire to the remaining wire going to the sensor. Still don't have KR, but that is a good thing. I know the gauge is getting the info from the OBD 2 port so I guess all is well, thanks to all that helped with this.
