ohh i gotcha. yeah, get either a scan gauge or an aeroforce first to scan your different parameters so you know how well or how bad its running right now. stay off too much throttle as well.

    Sputter could be knock.

Get an Aeroforce or a Scan Gauge II to read KR and other parameters.

Also you need a tune, find some one local that will do it, or email Overkill with your mods list and they will custom tune your PCM.

Stock tune should be fine with a plog/dp and 3.5 as far as fuel goes. They tend to run somewhat rich already.

But knowing if the car has KR is something you'll want to know about. A tune will just help with a few small aspects as of right now because those mods arent very serious. I'd suggest not buying a ZZP tune and going with a different vendor or a custom tune.

Cause there are better tunes out there.

Custom, in car tune, is the best.

ok is it expensive to do a custom tune? also i want to point out that i fixed the stuttering with a solenoid and vacuum lines that were butchered... really need an alignment though. and I'm probably going to do sway bars and links before motor work.

ZZP tunes are fine. Anyone that tells you different has probably never seen how similar they are to WBS, DHP, 3800performance, Intense, Overkill, etc...

ZZP canned tunes suck. Period. There was a scenario where someone had MORE knock with a ZZP tune than they did a stock tune.

Which brings about the point, they're a waste of money.

Even street tunes can be pointless.

The only things you'll ever notice are the transmission settings.

Mechguy had a reptile PCM which caused more KR than his stock PCM.

He finally gave up and pullied up IIRC.

You're not going to get much better performance without dropping a bunch of cash.

Just enjoy your car as is and don't worry about.

This is all assuming you've already monitored for KR under numerous conditions for an extended period of time.

Fuel-stock system will be fine. Just be sure to run 91 or better octane.
Exhaust-speed daddy headers. Stock cat back unless you want it to sound like shiit.
