So on top of the engine build I plan to do. (3.4 pulley, VS cams, and other small stuff) I was contemplating putting some nitrous on this car. Mainly because if that build nets me 13.1 seconds on the track I think a little nitrous could send me to the lower ranks. I was thinking of only a 50 shot though. Nothing over the top cause I don't wanna blow the engine. I have nitrous on my G8 so I'm familiar with it. But honestly hooking up the the G8 was VERY easy with the kit from zex with a simple wire to the fly-by-wire for WOT control. Tapped right into the pressure valve on the fuel rail. I couldn't find anyone who has actually done this yet.

Just like any other throttle body kit. It adds a switch that triggers when the throttle cable rolls the throttle arm all the way to wot

Idr the url exact but fullthrottlev6.com for hardcore north american 3800 builds

50 shot is pointless IMO and you aren't going to feel anything. Use a TB spacer and drill for the nozzle or get a TB spacer that's already predrilled. Its not any more complicated than the kit on your G8 to install. You have some options WOT switch, push button, window switch. Any and all can be used. I have pics of an install on my previous GP. I used a push button setup. I'll try and get pics up later today.

You will most definitely feel a 50 shot.

These blowers love nitrous. It does wonders for outlet temps. A 50 wet shot will pick up about 75whp Hell, I drop over a second in the 1/4 mile from just a 75 shot.

Have you not ever looked under the hood yet or even seen one in person?

Habit of saying cams and headers even if it is wrong. I'm just trying to do my research first.

Holy god for the 300th time I've read that thread completely. I have it pinned even. You realize there is absolutely nothing on that page about nitrous. Otherwise I wouldn't have made this thread.

Could be because I was running a SSIC. No idea, as I didn't "feel" anything until I went up to a 100 shot. Buddy ran a 50 shot on his Regal GS, no IC and mentioned the same thing. He didn't feel it in the butt dyno till he went to a 75 shot...

OP here are some pics from my install years ago on my 98 when I had it:

epic switch setup. What did you tap into for the fuel line? And did you do any timing for over a 50 shot?

That could be the reason why you didn't feel it. The cooling effect from nitrous is huge, so I'm sure having an IC cut down on that effect. That's similar to how i have it set up too....looks like the same TB plate. I just have mine triggered with a WOT switch.
