I'm looking at maybe purchasing a new exhaust system for my 99 gtp supercharged but not sure what to look into. i would like something that is fairly loud when you step on it but not always obnoxiously loud. also i am not sure if its worth it to get an entire cat-back or just a muffler(s)? would i see worthwhile power increases with a cat-back? i dont want to spend too much money either. Thanks!

Summit turbo mufflers to replace your factory ones. Best ones I've heard on a GP IMO

i got a slp 2.5 inch cat back with no glasspack sounds sweet at idle but sounds like a ricer when you step on the gas. if your going for performance then spend the money on headers

    Headers.

Long glasspack in place of res.

The longer the glasspack, the quieter the exhaust but the less drone. The shorter the glasspack, louder exhaust but more drone. Pick your poison.

    Borla Mufflers.

Thats my opinion if you dont want to keep the exhaust stock.

In all honesty, with a GTP...

Make your blower the main "sound" on your car, not your exhaust.

I was thinking around 21 inch? I just want a throatier sound that's a bit louder than stock. Not sure if I should just do a resonator delete?

Get headers..your choice of mufflers ( I like Borla) and keep the stock resonator so it won't drone much if any. Don't straight pipe you'll hate yourself after a few days.
